About The Grishaverse series
Series Premise
The Grishaverse is a shared fantasy universe centered on magic users called Grisha (who manipulate elements or matter through a power called the Small Science) living in a world inspired by 19th-century Russia and other cultures. The main storylines explore power, identity, war, corruption, found family, and rebellion against oppressive systems. The Shadow and Bone Trilogy (Grisha Trilogy, 2012–2014) Alina Starkov, a teenage mapmaker, discovers she is the legendary Sun Summoner — the only person who can destroy the Shadow Fold, a dark, monster-filled barrier splitting Ravka. Her power makes her a target and a weapon in a brewing war. The Six of Crows Duology (2015–2016) A heist crew of six young criminals from Ketterdam pulls off an impossible mission to break into a heavily guarded fortress and kidnap a scientist who can create a drug that amplifies Grisha power. The King of Scars Duology (2019–2021) Focuses on Nikolai Lantsov (now king of Ravka) and his struggles with inner demons, political instability, and a new supernatural threat. The Nikolai Duology (spin-off) Continues Nikolai’s story and expands the world. The Language of Thorns / The Lives of Saints — short story collections and in-universe folktales.
