About This Book

In 1982, Dr Simon Lindstrom, an anthropologist finds he is treading much the same path as Charles Darwin, one hundred and fifty years earlier. His interest quickens when he discovers inaccuracies in the naturalists published works. It prompts Lindstrom to dig deeper, and his dogged pursuit of the answers leads to dangerous consequences.

Difficulties arise when Lindstrom and Margarita Ortega, a fellow anthropologist, are drawn to Tierra del Fuego in search of skeletal remains. He manages to flee the country just before the onset of the Falklands conflict. However, the information he passes to the British authorities about Argentinas military build-up makes him a marked man.

Memories are long, which he discovers almost a decade later when he returns to Buenos Aires. Lindstrom narrowly avoids several attempts on his life. But his enemies are closing in. There is an elaborate scheme not only to eliminate both Margarita Ortega and himself - but to rid the country of its president.

The plan is watertight. If it succeeds it will dispatch, at a stroke, the continuing torments that plague the Junta, the old regime. . .if it succeeds.
