The Night Sky

The Night Sky is the second installment in The Rorick Trilogy, the quest for humanity to redeem itself from the ashes of a post-apocalyptic world and earn the right over other humanoid competitors to create a new civilization on Earth.The surviving members of the 1st Austin Close continue their quest to come to grips with the remaining mass of Latent species still entrenched throughout the world, as well as beginning in earnest to eradicate all of the material artifacts of the prior civilization. Confronted with such overwhelming tasks, the millennial humans examine their basic beliefs about the nature of reality in order to maintain their connections to each other and the world around them. Over time, their mastery of telepathy leads to the discovery of a number of previously unimagined mental abilities, while advanced beings on another planet work with even greater powers to turn the tide and claim dominion over Earth for their own kind. And all along, the Close is shadowed by an invisible threat known only as Old #7.
