The Morgue

1941 during the Blitz.Daisy Chambers inadvertently finds herself retrieving bodies after a recent bombing in their village. She and Alwyn, an enigmatic out-of-towner, search the rubble for survivors while small planes and bombs threaten the summer skies.The Strathalbyn town hall is turned into a temporary morgue for those that were killed and she, along with her friend, Jimmy, and Dr. Leighton, are eager to get them identified before they are buried in mass graves.While documenting the causes of deaths, she is alarmed to find young unknown women with alarming injuries inconsistent with the terrors of war.Haunted by glimpses of restless spirits, she sifts through the corpses for the truth, all the while more bodies are piling up around them.
