About This Book

This series of five novelettes told in the traditional manner by Doctor Watson focusses on Gilbert and Sullivan themes. A young heiress, about to appear in The Mikado, disappears from her private school. Mr D'Oyly Carte engages Sherlock Holmes to investigate mysterious incidents that take place at the Savoy Theatre. Holmes is arrested for murder, but arraigned on another charge, and he is challenged to a duel by an unlikely antagonist - Oscar Wilde! Lastly, he and Watson investigate the strange case of the Queen, Prince Albert and John Brown at Windsor Castle.
