His books have been published by Penguin and New York Review Books. His work has been translated into Italian, French and Spanish and reviewed by newspapers internationally, including The Guardian, TLS, New Statesman, Boston Globe, and most recently on the release of Italian and French editions in La Stampa, Il Manifesto, La Repubblica and Le Monde. The most recent exhibition of his artwork was in Bologna in conjunction with the Bilbolbul international comics festival there. He has lectured at Leeds, Bologna and Turin. Chris' most well-known book is The New World, an adaptation of which is being prepared for TV. The French edition of The New World, MAURETANIA Une traversée, is one of the Selected Books at the 2021 Angoulême comics festival.
