Embrace of the Sun

When all seems lost in Darkness, embrace the Sun... For Chicahua, an aging warrior of great renown, a grave dilemma rises when three youths of his village take it upon themselves to kill a man posing as a merchant who serves as a spy for the emperor of the powerful Mashiccan Empire. Chicahua knows that a terrible doom faces the subject Tonayolia people in the aftermath of the slaying.  To find a way to placate the emperor and gain mercy for his people, Chicahua decides to set out for the great island city of Teotlchantli, the jewel at the heart of the empire. It is a time of dark magic, and even darker gods, to whom rivers of blood are shed in ritualistic sacrifices atop soaring temples that rise all throughout Mashiccan cities. Chicahua will be put to the greatest test of his life, one that will call upon his skill as a warrior, intuition forged across years of harrowing experiences, the wisdom gained over a lifetime, and the courage to take a leap of faith.   Embrace of the Sun is a Chronicles of Ave Tale!
