The Springdale Warriors are a dysfunctional, winless, high school boys basketball team who spend more time fighting each other than their opponents. Their coach is at a loss to find a way to get them to work together. When a desperate magical spell goes awry, crossing time and worlds, transporting them to the kingdom of Aerthos, where they are asked to save a world, nothing good can happen.
What follows is a humorous journey of growth and bonding as the boys and their coach try to stay alive in a land where the people look to them as saviors. They soon learn that the only way to survive is to trust each other and work together as the team their coach has been trying to get them to be all season.
