Uncertain Sunset

It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime. Kevin had been decisively trapped as Karina's friend since high school. He had sought to take the girl on a trip around the country in order to finally show her how he truly felt about her. Their trip was supposed to be memorable, but not like this. This was too far. When the city descended into chaos around him, Kevin realized that he had to leave. He knew that if he could just get to safety, and ride it out, if he could give the government time to save them, then he and Karina would be ok.
