Tin Soldiers is the fourth in the Meredith & Hodge Series DCI John Meredith's team are horrified when the daughter of one of their own is abducted. Ellen Rawlings' disappearance is only the start of a series of attacks on young girls. But what is the perpetrator's motivation? With tensions running high Meredith comes into contact, and forms an unexpected alliance, with a homeless person, Peggy Green. Meredith's partner, Patsy Hodge, left the police force when she became romantically involved with Meredith. She became a partner in a Private Investigators' office, and she is disappointed to find herself involved in finding yet more errant men. Hodge begins to question her change of career. However, due to the actions of her assistant, Linda, the case takes an unusual and surprising turn, and Patsy finds herself being interrogated. In the midst of all this Meredith's ex-wife drops a bombshell in their lap, and they find that their lives may be changed forever.
