The Wand Chronicles: The Prequel

Racing through a forest there is a blinding flash of light that throws the human, Hugo, and his companions high up into the air. They fall heavily onto the ground. As they pick themselves up, they can see a tall crackling column of light that stretches up into the sky. Suddenly a stream of long red arrows shoots towards them from the column, followed by a number of strange beings. They point at Hugo and an alien language explodes inside his head, and he falls unconsciously onto the ground. The beings drag him back and into the column of light. But where to? Who or what are these strange beings? What fate awaits the English general, Hugo Brough?
