Between the Astral Plane and the Material World, there exists an entity simply known as The Council - a group of immortals past and present charged with creating balance and correct disruptions happening within the streaming threads of time and space. They employ powerful humans who can move between realms and dimensions, even alter temporal space. Their mission: to protect the gates leading from one plane to the next. These chosen ones are called Veil Walkers. Veil Walkers, who are eaten by devils and destroyed by fiends wanting to absorb their rare power for themselves, are teamed with powerful demons to help them protect the gates. Though not all demons assigned to Veil Walkers necessarily have good intentions.
