The goblin, Augustus Stez, left his hometown under a dark cloud. Had someone from his past caught up with him? Or was it one of the many enemies Augustus had made since moving to the paranormal town of Brimstone? Perhaps it was a rival who wanted Augustus out of the way so they could have his job.

Cassia Winter, a justice witch, investigates the murder. As always, she has help from her faithful cat, Stanley.
