The Siege

The dropping temperatures herald the coming of the holidays in northern Illinois. There are trees to be trimmed and packages to be wrapped. Mia is taking it easy while the PEEPs struggle with an infestation of poltergeists. Meanwhile, Big Bear Lake braces for the approach of the first winter storm. Two feet of snow is expected. Murphy has cut enough wood for four winters so there is little worry about the approaching storm.

But the storm that is approaching is one no one can prepare for. It has little to do with snowflakes, but the fast accumulation of them isn't helping. This holiday the "unexpected visitor" won't be leaving the Martin household with presents under the tree, but taking something back with him, something or someone very valuable.
