The Missing Man

An unidentified girl is murdered on the beach of a small Connecticut resort town. Her slayer is a man. That much Police Chief Fred C. Fellows and Detective Sergeant Sidney Wilks know from the beginning. And slowly they piece together leads: two of the murderer's aliases, his handwriting, the make and license of his car, even his picture. but the killer easily eludes his pursuers until Chief Fellows and his detective provide that extra dash of imagination and intuition to close the case.
