Martin Rasmus has returned to the United States and spends his days intentionally underemployed and his nights listening to podcasts in the hospital emergency room. One evening, he gives a ride to an eccentric Russian named Victor and the two form an unconventional partnership. In another side hustle to combat his malaise, Martin signs up for an enigmatic medical trial with Transcendent Health, a stealth company with an alluring participant named Nina who believes the study is part of a larger conspiracy led by the social media giant Xmundio. Martin is drawn into unusual worlds and new relationships, forcing him to confront his past and create a different future.
