In May1902, Watson receives a distressing letter from his Aunt Rachel in Lymington. One of her dearest friends has been killed, seemingly by an unearthly presence. Holmes and Watson visit the scene of her death, gather valuable evidence and discover that a fiendish, premeditated murder has been committed.
