Chloe Summers is an average high school senior with a less-than-average afterschool job-working as Death's newest intern. When she's not trying to keep her GPA above sea level, Chloe's stuck figuring out how to reap souls, navigate the afterlife, and, somehow, still make it to math class on time. Under the tutelage of Death himself, she's supposed to collect souls and avoid questions, but things get complicated fast when a centuries-old soul named Eli manages to slip out of the afterlife on her watch.
