Or Not to Be

When American film director, Andrew Davnet, accepts what appears to be a routine commission, he opens a series of doors some people would rather remain closed - permanently. A straightforward investigative TV programme, questioning the true authorship of Shakespeare`s plays and sonnets, is seen as just another project - until the setbacks start to multiply. From the fierce lobbying of those favouring their own candidates for the playwright`s crown, to increasingly vengeful acts by an unknown adversary. As more is uncovered about Shakespeare and his role in the theatre, so the attempts to silence Davnet increase. Ranged against him is a clandestine fraternity, prepared to go to any lengths to avoid disclosure of a centuries-old conspiracy.
