About This Book

Tommy Jack's has taken on a new role as a political columnist and he is making enemies, very powerful enemies.  Tommy's recent tragedy involving sudden and violent death has left him shaken and emotionally damaged.  Spending most of his adult life on his own he is discovering a whole new family life with his new "mother" and recently out-of-prison father.  Also entering his world is the most beautiful person he has ever seen.  Tommy can't stop staring.

This story begins with the sudden and unexplained death of the state's U.S. Senator.  Tommy Jacks and his fellow journalists don't believe the police chief's story blaming it on natural causes.  It has the smell of a crime.

Many strange things are happening in the city.  New crime bosses seem to be causing lots of mayhem.  Tommy has a lot to write about in his "My View" political column, including some not so subtle references to the police chief.  Lurking in the shadows is the powerful and corrupt chief, who seems to think it might be best if Mister Jacks, even if he is very young, was dead.
