This 1st volume of Magic Tails tells the story of the birth of Raven, and how a lovely, odd-eyed cat named Soy was born from a flower's blossom. Raven takes Soy on a magical ride across all of Earth and into the Universe until Raven leaves Soy alone on Earth. Luckily, Soy makes a new friend in her dreams—her own Shadow! Then, a lonely Soy meets Coyote in the Dreamworld. Coyote helps Soy open a doorway to a whole new world. Inspired by the various mythologies and shamanic practices of the world, these stories teach children to respect and love the Earth, the wisdom of listening to their dreams, and how to honour the beauty and magic everywhere around them.
