Fractured Sky

Memories can fracture, but the love between a mage and his dragon never fades.

Sol has no idea why he was kidnapped or what the man who took him is trying to do, but it can't be good since he's behind bars. Things degenerate as Carlyle struggles with the spell he's attempting to cast on Sol, and Sol knows he doesn't have long.

Dallin is desperate to find his dragon, but as long as Sol and Carlyle are protected by Carlyle's spells, there's nothing he and the other mages can do. It would take a miracle for them to rescue Sol.

A miracle named Graham.

When one of Sol's captors helps him escape, Sol decides he'll protect him, even from the mages. Dallin doesn't care about what Graham did in the past, though. He only cares that Graham saved Sol and gave Dallin a chance to be with his dragon again.

But Carlyle is still a threat, and he's angryâ€"angry enough to attack the castle.
