Diary of a Serial Killer

After being kidnapped by a psychopathic serial killer, Tracey Randall does not think she is going to survive:
"Tracey Randall was a born optimist, but as she lay on the cold floor at the foot of a bed with her wrist cuffed to the bed-leg, she thought she was going to die. The sociopath who had kidnapped her said he wasn't going to hurt her, but the psychotic gleam in his eyes and the sadistic half-smile on his lips told her differently."
It seems as if Tracey Randall will become another victim, but her attacker has underestimated her will to live. The attractive seventeen-year-old is taken to an isolated cabin and held prisoner after being stalked and kidnapped by serial killer, Eric Blackburn. However, Tracey is not willing to give in to the sadistic killer and fights back. Tension continues to build as the killer continues to focus on "the one that got away" while targeting new victims. As the story progresses, Tracey is no longer the victim the reader meets at the start of the novel; instead she becomes the driving force behind the capture of her tormentor. 

As a police officer in a small New England town, Shawn Davis has the law enforcement experience to craft a suspenseful crime tale like no other. Diary alternates from the point of view of the killer, the police officer pursuing him, and the victim-turned-heroine so it is both a grim psychological insight into a killer's mind and a fascinating police procedural tale.
