Depart the Darkness

When Miles and Anika stop by their apartment to pick up a couple of sweaters and some boots, the last thing they expect to find is a cloud of darkness hovering over their favorite security guard. Setting aside their shock and dismay, they accept the case that's been put before them and begin to investigate. It doesn't take long to discover that nothing is as it seems. This is no simple matter, and the crime is unlike any they've faced before. Armed with the truth, finding the criminal is one thing. Finding the evidence to convict him of the perfect crime is another. Miles and Anika must succeed, for the fate of two innocent men is at stake. Failure is not an option. But that leaves them grappling with the question… How do they prove either guilt or innocence… ...when proof does not exist?
