Angel Scorned

Britt breathed a sigh of relief. The nightmare was over. The Eternal Council's evil agenda had been exposed. Bastion, their henchman, was on the run, and her friends and family could now move on with their lives. With Allister, the Eternal who had touched her and brought her back from death, by her side, she could learn to deal with the powers of being some kind of blend of Eternal and Angel. Or so she thought. In the back of her mind she felt the twinge of uncertainty, of something hanging over her waiting to drop. She fought to push the feeling aside, but the uncontrollable doubt that consumed her threatened to overwhelm her. Something horrible was coming, but what she couldn't say. After all the struggles these past months brought, wariness told her that something much worse was to come. She didn't know how she knew this, but she did. Would she be able to face it? Would she have any choice?
