About This Book

Sequel to Zach Abrams' bestseller 'Made a Killing' Treat yourself to an enthralling read A cold, bleak February morning in Central Scotland commences with the discovery of a body. Chief Executive, Hector Mathewson is found dead within the cask room of his own distillery. DCI Alex Warren needs to balance his own turbulent personal life while directing the hunt for the murderer. There are suspects aplenty with motives ranging from greed, nationalism, adultery and revenge. Review extracts • 'Great dialogue, unique plot and clever humour. A Measure of Trouble is a book with such a generous helping of twists that it make for a total page turner.' • 'until Zach came around, I never actually read a mystery before. I'm so happy that my introduction to this genre was by this talented author' • 'Abrams has a wonderful capacity to bring readers into the personal lives of Alex and Sandra, which are full-blooded and sympathetic characters struggling with issues' • 'this novel is well written, well-structured and, what I really enjoyed about it, the plot develops on several levels and the characters and events are frequently presented with a dry sense of humour, which makes it hard to put this novel down' Laced with humour, 'A Measure of Trouble' is an entertaining novel, Zach Abram's sequel to ‘Made a Killing'. A Measure of Trouble is the second novel of Zach Abrams' - Alex Warren Murder Mystery series. It's a tartan noir thriller set in and around Glasgow. This British Police Procedural features Detective Chief Inspector Alex Warren as the senior investigating officer together with female detective, Sergeant Sandra McKinnon and supported by a team of detectives, scene of crime technicians and other specialists. Within the main murder investigation, the team research a range of other criminal activities. Away from the crime investigation, there's family drama as well as a touch of romance and more than a sprinkling of humour. Readers familiar with the geography of Scotland and Glasgow in particular can associate with the area as the detectives tread their weary path on their way to researching the crimes and solving the mystery. Other books in the Alex Warren Murder Mystery series are ‘Made a Killing' and ‘Written to Death'. In addition Zach Abrams is the author of two financial crime thrillers, ‘Ring Fenced' and ‘Source' and he has co-written ‘Twists and Turns' an anthology of short stories. All Zach Abrams' books can be purchased on either ebook or paperback format. Audiobook versions of Made a Killing and Ring Fenced are currently available and his other titles will be coming soon.
