On the run from the authorities, Wolfgang's pursuit of the great novel continues, as he grapples with a world which is much changed, since he last left the land that time and tech forgot. America is no more, and new powers in the North compete for global domination. After meeting up with his untrustworthy amanuensis in London, he discovers she been playing away, and is back with Skull, his bitter enemy. Next, he learns he is under surveillance by Boreal Intelligence, and an international warrant has been issued for his arrest. Then, unwittingly, he crosses an international crime family, and must make amends. Can he survive long enough to write the next volume, let alone complete the great work?
