Sabine Rose is finally starting to fit in at her new school. But she's convinced that unless she keeps hiding the fact that she's psychic, she could go from popular to pariah in a heartbeat.

So when Sabine volunteers to help run the fortune-telling booth at the school fundraising carnival, it's all fun and games. Or it's supposed to be, until she discovers that her fake crystal ball has mysteriously disappeared. In its place is the strangely hypnotic "witch ball."

Now the haunted witch ball's frightening predictions are coming true, and Sabine must figure out what's going on before its final prediction—her own sudden death—becomes a deadly reality.
