When Ballerina Maevis Etherwood returns home from a performance, she finds her husband in bed with another woman. After emitting an uncontrollable whirlwind of mystical fury, she colapses on the floor. The next day she wakes to find the husband and his mistress dead. The events of that night remain a mystery...even to Maevis herself. And, the detectives assigned to her case are baffled by the lack of forensic evidence. But what they are unaware of is that Maevis and her sisters are faeries, losing control of their powers in this non-magical realm.
