About This Book

While making a Super-8 Frankenstein movie at an historic local castle, Will, Lisa Goodwin and Waldo discover a real monster: the statue of Lamia buried by the castle's builder, Ethelbert Cramley. The statue looks like a winged sphinx with clawed hands and the head of a beautiful woman - and it bears a ghastly curse. Whoever sees Lamia's image is fated to become her victim. Each night, the vampire animates the marble statue holding her spirit, and sucks the breath & blood from her victims. Through telepathic contact with Will's mind, Lamia learns that the kids' home movie has captured her image – and it spread her curse to everyone who sees the film. To ensure that Will shows his film to LOTS of people, Lamia makes him her first victim. Will and his Uncle Zachary both know how to destroy a vampire. But there's one problem. How do you drive a wooden stake through the heart of a marble statue?
