When longtime Whistling Pines resident Alf Palluzzo learns about a missing family treasure, he remembers the gold coins his parents squirreled away when he was young. He asks everyone for help as he tries to figure out the arcane clue to where they are. Peter Rogers, recreation director for the assisted-living center, wants to help Alf, but other residents also want his attention, his wedding to Jenny is fast approaching, and his elderly neighbor, Dolores, keeps showing up in his kitchen at awkward times. Peter, a former Navy corpsman, is on top of it all. But then there's a fire, a murder, an unhappy fiancée, and a masked man with a gun looking for Alf's treasure. What else could go wrong? Lots.
