When Darkness Falls

Fearing the wrath of her tyrannical husband, Anthony, Elaine Bradford bundles up their three-year-old daughter, Amanda, and leaves him. Unfortunately, Aaron, Anthony's son from a previous relationship, catches them in the act and begs to go with them. Now fearing that Anthony will have her charged with kidnapping, Elaine runs to the only person she can trust - her friend Emma.

Emma is the assistant to Laurie Lee Randall, the founder and CEO of the Laurie Lee cosmetic empire, who has agreed to let Elaine hide out at her New England farm until she can divorce Anthony and get her life back on track.

However, Anthony is a powerful man whose contacts are everywhere, and Elaine is easy to track down. When Elaine realizes what Anthony is after, she tries everything in her power to keep her daughter safe and regain her freedom. But all that she trusts is tested, and soon she discovers that everything she believes is not at all what it appears.
