Ayola is born into slavery on a Mississippi plantation in 1810, the rarest of all creatures: a Seer who can communicate with her Guardian Angel. What she doesn't know is that she is being watched by somebody else.Watcher is the fourth book in the Guardians series and takes the tale of Guardians and Seers into the past. In the first trilogy, we meet a young Seer in the modern era who explores the nature of Guardians with the help of her friends. The next trilogy is a darker tale. In a society that is structured around slavery, even a Seer is not safe from involvement with the horrors that humans can inflict on each other. However, despite the perils of such a time, people will always manage to find love.
