Mage Alamar was astounded by his unexpected visitor, a foot-tall woman riding a fox: the Lady Jinnarin, a Pysk, one of the legendary Hidden Ones, driven by both love and terror to Alamar's door. Her mate, Farrix, had vanished months before, and she was plagued by a horrible nightmare warning of his danger.
