About This Book

When Jess Haford, a policewoman, goes to Court to give evidence, and the rapist is acquitted, then boasts about his misdeed afterwards, she comes to the conclusion that serious criminals serve their sentences and then return to society to live out their lives whereas the victims are either dead or mentally scarred for life with no redress.

No one seems to care. So she decides to become a vigilante and execute them herself, saving the tax payer a great deal of money in excessive legal fees in the ensuing Court cases and freeing up both the prisons and the Courts which are overloaded with cases.

Her personal life is fraught with problems. Her husband, a weak man, who is the vicar of the parish, commits adultery with an old girlfriend. For that reason he resigns from the church and goes to live with the woman leaving Jess.

Jess begins to execute murderers and other felons which starts an investigation by the police. Her training keeps her ahead of her colleagues at every turn. Until an American police officer is assigned to the case.

Things soon heat up as Jess falls in love with a fellow police officer put he won’t become involved with her until she gets a divorce.

The net tightens around her slowly. A really exciting book with many twists and turns.
