Getting stuck in the French Rivera with a vampire...⁠ maybe not such a good idea. Tessa, a human attorney for the moroi-run company Chronos Corp finds herself alone and unable to get a flight out Nice, France during the pandemic.  Who would come to her rescue? None other than Luc Morgan, the difficult vampire she'd spent a week in negotiations with. As an old vampire, Luc is shrewd, calculating, and very, very French.  So, what could go wrong?  Note: This short story was previously published as 'Vermillion: Shades of Red.'
