When the idyllic charm of early summer on Nantucket is suddenly shattered by a gruesome murder, town officials want the killer found quickly. When it is discovered that the victim is the youngest son of a United States senator, the stakes get even higher. As more time passes without the killer's arrest, the pressure grows for a hasty resolution. Nantucket relies on its image as a historic and tranquil retreat to lure in tourists, tourists who officials fear will stop coming if the crime isn't solved quickly. Sheriff Andy O'Toole enlists the help of local friends Peter Oswald and Steph Troppitz to get to the bottom of the biggest crime of the old sheriff's career.
