Long before the Greeks and Romans, the Assyrians and Babylonians, the Kushite Empire reigned supreme in Africa. I am Nedjeh, born in the Age of King Kashta. I was the son of poor farmers until the Vampire Wahankh turned me into one of the Undead. Refusing to abandon my homeland, I pledged myself to King Piye. For ages I fought against the enemies of the Kushite Empire. Neither man nor beast could stand against me. I stood with the Great King when the Black Guard stormed the City of Aneb-Hetch and conquered Egypt. Unfortunately, Taharqa, son of King Piye harbored a deep hatred of my kind. In 680 B.C.
