Sorrel Janes, wildlife photographer, celebrates the huge success of her small gift shop in New Mexico, as UNTOLD AGONY begins. Finally, her life as a news anchor/crime reporter in Houston, Texas, is just a memory from her past. In the spirit of the southwestern community and to celebrate her success, Sorrel and Sheriff's Deputy Chris Reed join friends Jose and Terri to supervise the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby races. However, the lighthearted mood evaporates as Sorrel and Reed are pulled into the intrigue and horror of events they would never have imagined. In the process, both not only meet faces from their pasts, but also view glimpses of the future. With courage, humor, and their sparring vocal exchanges, Sorrel and Reed continue to endear themselves with readers.
