Turmoil

The nations of Island World spiral to war. Arii's triumph over Gwaum did not bring the hoped for peace. Vying for domination, each of the five nations strove to rise to the top. The Kingdom of Torne was the dominant kingdom. Ruther ruled the land but did not possess the Star of Torne, thus he was not the true king. His mother, Queen Betsa possessed the Star. Rynn, Ruther's sister, was the true heir as the Star had chosen her. Ruther pursued the two in an attempt to wrest the Star, and the legitimacy it conferred, from them. Other rulers sought the mother and daughter to use them to dominate Torne and thus Island World. The engines of war collided at Naru. The battle for that city determined the fate of Island World.
