About This Book

It is 1958, and an earthquake off the coast of Alaska has caused an enormous landslide resulting in a killer tsunami. The massive tsunami was measured at a height of over 1700 feet. This is a true story and lends its factual data to the following fiction novel: Fifty-one years later a new cruise ship, Conquistador, embarks on a cruise to the Antarctic. An earthquake causes a landslide of ice resulting in an absolute "Beast" of a tsunami. The Conquistador is sailing right into harm's way with the tsunami looming and no chance of escape. The Beast turns the Conquistador completely over, and in the aftermath, this Beast of a tsunami has spread death and destruction throughout the ship. Amazingly the Beast spares a handful of souls on most decks. The heroic human qualities of total strangers offering help, even their very lives, to save others is incredibly evident everywhere. And the 'Beast' has left a very angry sea that quietly and mercilessly is creeping room by room, deck by deck, seeming to say "Wait for me. I'm coming for you too!"
