As a member of the Cacciatore Guild, Danielle Burroughs is one of the Underworld's most renowned hitmen. Despite her success, memories from her past bleed into the present - forcing her to reconcile the life she now leads. Events are set in motion once she kills Emilio Francesca, her caretaker, but accidentally ends up killing his daughter, Lilio, in the process. She appears in a chamber not of this world, and comes face-to-face with a towering, robed creature named Visciouls, and Lilio, the girl she'd just killed moments prior. In an otherworldly turn of events, Danielle is forced to serve Visciouls as a Revenant, a hitman with demonic capabilities, while coming to terms with the current meaning of her own life. Amidst these events, Emilio's wife, Allegro, witnesses the aftermath of the assassination and vows to kill those responsible for the deaths of her family, thus sparking a tale of vengeance intertwined with Danielle's one of uncertainty and new search for meaning
