FIRST CONTACT – OR LAST?

In the twenty-fifth century only the privileged few can set foot on Earth, and most human activity centers around Threshold Terminal, where special interest groups play out their power games of interstellar politics. Now all that is about to change because of the mysterious, seemingly unbreachable Ball towed in-system by a crazy old space scavenger. Left in far too close proximity to Threshold, the Ball has sat ever since, baffling the best minds among the United Nations of Earth.

But now three alien ships have appeared in orbit around the Ball. And they are waiting for the human race to respond to their presence. Will those suddenly faced with this awesome responsibility find a way to protect the people of UNE, or, by their actions, plunge the human race into a war it has no chance of winning?
