This is the fourth book of The Langsyne Chronicles, a science fiction epic that leaves the reader wanting more and more. Here D.M. on his quest to save Dhsiba encounters a man-like reptilian being--Rynn. The creature speaks Earther, but D.M. is positive the thing is not from Earth. D.M. presses the button on the long hilt of his sword. The two blades spring out from either end, gleaming in the diffused light of the forest. "Is that your weapon? A fine weapon that. May I approach more closely to examine it?" "If you come any closer," D.M. said, "You will do more than examine it, you will also feel its bite as I slit open your belly." "We seem to be at an impasse," Rynn hissed. "We cannot stand here all day and stare each other down, now can we?" ' "I can," D.M. said.
