Together We Will Fly

In this short story, sixteen-year-old Galenos has to take care of his younger brother Varranor after the death of their father, but things are already starting to go wrong when he loses the village's sheep to a chimaera attack. The brothers look for work in the nearby cliff city of Mezzarion, but the elite craft guilds don't take on new apprentices easily. With few options left, Galenos must choose between the austere life of a temple priest and the dangerous life of a mercenary--but not before Varranor cooks up a wild scheme to tame a monster of their own.



The first Tale of Wyld Magic introduces the magic-wracked peninsula of Seirenia and the dangerous monsters known as marewings.
