Things in the Swamp

On the run, not from the zombie heads that infest the swamp, but from the people who live there, Owen stumbles into the lives of a single mother and her child. Unused to human company, Owen is torn between delight and fear that they will discover his secret.


Things in the Swamp is a novella based in the series of Swamp Children. While this short story focuses on Owen, the first novel of the series, A Swamp of Bones, follows his sister Makani as she struggles to find her siblings before anyone else gets to them first.
