Svartån has a new thegn-heir. But will she be able to protect her new homeland?

Ina Svanunge is the rightful thegn-heir of Svartån, but she must fight to lead and protect her new homeland's people, even as she's still learning how to do both. Can she learn to lead and bring her people together before they are brutally conquered?

An invasion from the Isillas elves—SvartÃ¥n's most ancient enemy—looms imminent and Ina's first priority is to prepare her new homeland's defenses. Which would be easier if not for the deep hatred held by many of her subjects against their half-elven neighbors. With the Isillas at their doorstep, SvartÃ¥n is fractured and in need of a leader to unite it once and for all. Racing to improve not only her fighting and leadership skills, she finds herself out of time when the Isillas attack and endanger not only SvartÃ¥n, but those closest to her.
