The World You Gave Us

The World You Gave Us is an exciting and imaginative anthology of poems, flash fiction, short stories and creative non-fiction written by the young people who attend writing clubs with Chasing Driftwood Writing Group.Over the course of a year, the children who attend our clubs were offered the prompt of 'the world you gave us' and invited to write poems, stories and non-fiction based on this theme.Their responses could be real, reflecting their own thoughts, feelings and experiences of living in the world today as a young person, or they could be entirely fictional.From dark tales of bad and apocalyptic worlds, to optimistic pieces reflecting their love and hope for this world, this anthology has something for everyone.What kind of world have we given our children?Let them tell you.
