About This Book

"The Wolves and Short Stories" is a collection of work by David L. Roberts. "The Wolves" is a novella, in the tradition of Gothic suspense fiction, about four teenagers--three boys and a girl--at an isolated mansion who are plunged into mystery, horror and dangerous rivalry after the matriarch of the mansion dies. A blind boy, a delinquent with a wolf-dog, and a set of twins navigate the darkness, and their struggle for power results in murder. With twists and turns, it is a story about fear and conflict. The "Short Stories" feature three stories dealing with fear, love, and struggle. "A Message of Death" is about a frightening challenge to and from technology. "A Kiss at the Swing" is about a farm boy and girl who discover the moment of new love. "An Ability to Fly" is about a caregiver's amazing ability, or is it a feeling that only caregivers can understand?
