The Witch in the Woods

The Witch in the Woods introduces us to an impoverished peasant. He makes his living by collecting sticks and branches from the forest. He runs out of money during a hand of Gambit and he's offered a bet. The bet was made to turn him the fool and show him a coward, but it had a significantly different outcome.

The Witch in the Woods is the second short story in a line of short stories that will collectively be known as Tales from Wheat Hollow. Each story will build a tale of the place, the locations, the settings and the history of the Realm. And through them you'll discover a wondrous land.
